Name change to Fulcrum Massage
You may have noticed a little change on my website. When I created the original name for my massage practice I was inspired by a book I was reading called, ‘With Thinking Fingers’, the story of Osteopath, Dr William Garner Sutherland written by his wife Adah Sutherland. However the name Thinking Hands never sat quite right for me but I was proud of its subtle reference to the lineage of Craniosacral Therapy. I wanted a different name but I wasn’t sure where to start or whether it was too late having been a few months in. I decided it was now or never and after applying the ancient laws of Egyptian Numerology I have decided on a new name, drum roll please…………
Fulcrum Massage
I am even prouder of Fulcrum Massage, it reflects the essence of my work with fulcrums being part of the foundations of craniosacral therapy. A fulcrum is a pivot point, I’ll elaborate further in another article. Watch this space!
More on numerology;
It does not foretell our future but helps us to understand our strengths and weaknesses, pointing out the way we approach the aspects of our life journey and achieve our highest potential. Ancient Egyptians understood that everything in the universe is animated by life forces. My limited understanding on the basic principles of numerology is that each letter of the alphabet is represented by numbers 1 through 9 and numbers themselves have meaning, they are a symbol that expresses an idea. Pythagoreans believed that all things are numbers and their constituents are components of all things. In Egyptian Numerology not only is each number represented by certain qualities but the relationships between the numbers and certain patterns of numbers also have meaning. I am not a numerologist so I can’t dive any deeper nor do chart readings but I do believe in esoteric teachings such as the significance of numbers and that the entire universe can be explained according to geometric laws and principles.
This is in part why my personalised logo is a mandala of scared geometric pattern.
